Happy 34th birthday sweet child of mine!!!
I love these Tammy bags! The hardest part of making them is deciding on what fabric I want to use. I went to Raleigh with my mother in law one day and came home with the cutest of cute fabrics and was thrilled silly! I hope you will agree that my Tammy Bag is certainly a conversation starter!
Don't you just love those bicycles!!!
And what about that lining!
There are a ton of uses that you could
think of for this cute bag! I know a lot of the bloggers will be using
their's for sewing supplies so I wanted to be a little different. ...
nothing too un-original.. I am a traditional type gal with hardly any
creativeness upstairs so this is what I came up with for my Tammy.
I have everything I need for my trip to the grocery store! My
checkbook.. in it's made to match cover, a matching candy bag with
peppermints in case I get to coughing, a made to match coin purse for
all of my loose change, my cell phone, chap stick, Bayer aspirin and my
keys. I think that just about does it.
Your basic "take her to town" Tammy. :)
Peeking in at all of the loot...
The cell phone pocket...
Perfect pocket for my keys, with a snap closure...
yummy candy spilling out...
Got any loose change??
Getting back to Audrey for a moment, I have to tell you that she was born during the gas shortage of 1979. I was in the hospital for 7 days after she was born due to an infection. I had her by C-section and contracted some type of bacteria and ran a fever for a few days. I could not see my baby girl for the first 48 hours of her life. When she was born there was so much mucus in her passage-way that she was handed off to a nurse pronto so I had no clue what she even looked like. They would pull my curtain when they brought my room mates baby to her and I would sit there and cry. They finally were able to bring her to me though and WOW!! what a whopper she was!! She weighed 9 pounds and 6 ounces at birth!! She was the talk of the hospital!
The nursery was full of babies... ALL boys.... except my little girl!.. and she was not so little compared to all of those scrawny little boys! She was the biggest baby in the nursery by a long shot! You could hear people talking about her in the halls. Of course, I swelled up with pride! That was my baby making hospital headlines. :)
Now, 34 years later, she has grown in to a beautiful, wonderful mother herself. She has 2 beautiful daughters of her own, Allie and Emilee. I am so very proud of the woman she has become.

I love the bicycles!!!! And a complete set of matching items! You really did a great job! First I would put candy, then more candy , then more candy etc... well you get the picture. lol
Great job!
Your bags are adorable and I love the fabric! I would use them for my sewing, quilting and cross stitch and embroidery projects! Great job!
Oh I do love that bicycle fabric! That is is just too cute. I know that I would use a Tammy bag for my hand work. It would be great to keep small projects that I could use to grab and go. And Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter!
Wow, what a lovely set, good job! I would be thrilled if I won it! happy Blogging!
ooops missed the other bit out, I would use it for my sewing goodies and my latest project to take to work!
ooops missed the other bit out, I would use it for my sewing goodies and my latest project to take to work!
So lovely! The bikes are just so sweet and I adore your set! I would use it for a small book and a snack to take with me on my bike rides! Happy birthday to Audrey!

And happy birthday to your daughter!
lovely work!
and Happy Birthday to your lovely daughter!:)
Love how you did your Tammy bag and all the accessories! The bike fabric is sew cute. Differently use it for my hand sewing supplies. Thank you for sharing and the fantastic giveaway.
I love the bag and contents, it would fit perfectly in the basket on my bicycle with emergency candy, my house keys, cards and cash. With a bottle of water I would be ready for anything.
What a wonderful set - Great job :)
Wonderful set! I'd put make-up in it.
Your set of purses are so wonderful. Thanks for sharing and being part of this hop
I completely have forgotten to tell you what to put in the set if it was mine. I think I should use it for make up.
And hapyy birthday to your daughter.

Lovely fabric. Have a great birthday party!! :-)
regards
I absolutely love the fabric! Great purses you made and Happy Birthday to Audrey!
Happy birthday to Audrey.
Lovely bags.
Thanks for sharing.

Thearica. While I think your bag is beautiful, I think your daughter Audrey and children are what steal the show. My oldest daughter is named Audrey and she was born in 1980! C-section delivery, 10 days in the hospital with complications, on and on. Of my 3 daughters, she is the one who likes to come over to sew from time to time, so that is special to me. Happy Birthday to your own precious Audrey!
What a great gift for your beautiful daughter !
Beautiful bag. If I won it would travel with me to our family reunion holding the bits of stitchery I plan to work on that weekend. Great place to show it off.
I have been looking for bicycle fabric! Will you please let me know the specifics on it so that I might try to order some? Thanks.
I live on an island off Scotland, and to get to the nearest supermarket on another island, I have to take a ninety minute ferry to get there. I would therefore use my Tammy bag for the following -
Ipod - for when it gets stormy - I am not a good sailor, so music distracts me from the waves!
Peppermints - to calm my stomach (see above!)
Earphones - in the side pocket
Ferry Card - side pocket
Mini sewing kit - scissors, thread, wax, needles, pins, folding seam ripper - all in a mini tin
Poly bag with cut patchwork pieces, all ready to sew
Retractable pencil
Small notepad
Coin purse
Mobile phone
Theatrics, your bag is divine and I would so love to win. I would put a nice little project to work on during my planning time. Thanks for the chance.
I got it at our local JoAnn's fabrics in Raleigh, NC. It is fabric made for JoAnn's.
First, happy birthday to your baby. Now, love, love, love your fabric choice, then I love your bag and your accessories. They are priceless. Great job all the way around.
Thearica you did a wonderful job and I am in love with that fabric...just wonderful. I love that you made an ensemble with the same fabric. I am making one also but will need a second one with the added pieces because I am going to use another one for all my diabetes supplies and would love to win this one. I hope you have a great day and thanks for sharing the whole collection with us..
Just love your bag and all of the matching goodies! And such great fabric too! Happy Bday to Audrey and thanks for a wonderful giveaway! Thanks for sharing!
What a lovely giveaway! You did a great job on your bags and happy birthday to your daughter! I would put my embroidery projects in the bag, if I won. featheredneststudio [at] gmail [dot] com
holy moly....you wheeled in with a winner...and to think a giveaway of it all too...fabric, accessories..well everything is as beautiful as your family...x
Congratulations to you, 34 years mothering this sweet lovely Audrey! I love your Tammy, the fabric, the ruffles, it's lovely! I would put my sewing thingies in it and show it off where ever I go, should I win it, telling everybody about the sweet lady who made it, who has always such great blogpost making me laugh, smile or touch my heart and tell about bloghopping with Mdm Samm and what a great way it is stepping out of your comfort zone and meeting great people online!(I already do that, I'm so thrilled about it!) Thanks for sharing your creativity!
Oh Congratulations Thearica!! Beautiful family....I love your Tammy purse too; it would be wonderful for makeup....
Hi!
I love your bag and all of the contents! I made a bag too, wish I would have thought about making all those neat things you made!
Thanks for the giveaway, take care, Leslie
Congratualtions on your Daughters Birthday. We certainly get back what we invest in our children. You must be a fabulous Mother. My mother is proud of how all her children turned out and she is fast to sing our praises too. She was and still is one Awesome Mom... Love your Tammy Bag. Love the fabric. OMG...it is way too cute and whimsical. I'm with you I thank the Tammy bag makes a fabulous purse. I would use it as such. I would put my cell phone and keys in the pocket. Definitely have to take my checkbook and wallet too ..And I would have my bottle of excedrin headache in liew of the aspirin. I love the fact tha tthe bag is called the Tammy bag. That is my name and This Tammmy would love to be the proud owner of that "Tammy". I would take it with me to all my doctor appointments. I seem to hav e too many of them these days with the breast cancer I am dealing with. Now to go hop over and see all the other "Tammy's " out their in blogdom. Thank you for shareign your project and for the chance to enter your gorgeous .giveaway
Tell Audrey Happy Birthday! Love your Tammy bag and especially with that bicycle fabric. ALl those accessories are Too kewl.
PS: Didn't know you were old enough to have a 34 year old! 9insert shocked face here) you must have started super young. {smiling and giggling}, no make that LOL! Jane
Love the way the bicycle fell on your bag, did you fussy cut or was is serendipity? I have embroidery supplies and hexies in mind for my bag :)
Congrats on most creative! Love the bicycle fabric!
Your bag and accessories are way too cute - gives me a reason to smile on this cold, rainy day. I love the bicycle fabric. Your daughter and grand babies are gorgeous too. I would put in my wallet, Swiss Army knife, kleenex package, cell phone, car keys and a pen.
Happy birthday to Audrey and her proud mama.
Lovely bag, Thearica with some wonderful accessories to go with it. Should I be lucky enough to win the giveaway I would add my two wonder wallets ( one for my money and one for the grocery money), a pack of gum, cell phone and car keys. I thought this would have made a pretty purse way after the fact.
Like the closer on yours too. Is the coin purse Mdm Samm's pattern as well? I know that was a previous hop. I bought the pattern but have not done it yet.
A-dorable!! This bag pattern is so cute and all the accessories are great idea. I generally carry a tote bag as I have a 6yr old in tow most days. So, I would probably use it the way you have devised (I have bags for my embroidery supplies). Then, if I needed to run into the post office or bank, I could just grab the Tammy and leave the big tote in the car. Thank you for such a generous giveaway!
This would be so perfect for an upcoming wedding I'll be attending, to hold the bare necessities of the day: wallet, phone, camera, kleenex (of course!), and probably hubby's wallet if enough room left (he hates having a wallet in his pocket). What a sweet giveaway - thank you for the chance to win!
I like the idea that this bag is of a size to be truly useful in many ways, not just a 'change' purse. I'm thinking this might be a good pool side bag. Sun Screen, lip balm, hand sanitizer with room left for the car keys & phone...
Oh, what cute fabric you chose for the bag. I'd love to own it and fill it up with my portable sewing projects. Happy Birthday to your daughter and thanks for the opportunity to win the Tammy.
love the different size bags nice combination.
Birthday wishes for your daughter. Love your creations. Thanks for the chance to win.
Rosemary B here:
WOW first off, your daughter is beautiful. She looks just like you. You must have given birth to her when you were 12 years old!? right?? No way you have a 34 year old daughter.
Your delivery story sounds like a super bummer. So sorry to hear that.
But then, I looked at your bag (s) and wowie just adorable and marvelous! The whole set!! It is like miniature luggage! I love the bicycles and the trim. this is my fav bag today! Well the whole set.
thanks for sharing dear Thearica!
***no way you have a 34 year old daughter.... I just can't process that right now...
and the blond hair. Good grief I better go now
__oh and what would I put inside? chocolate, my sewing things, a small pad of paper, cute colored pens, my eye drops, my ibuprofen (lol) couple bags of Via coffee, sugar, etc
Everything for a trip!
Love! The bikes are so cute and I adore the matching set! I would probably use it to hold various hand sewing projects. I have a lot of tiny hands that get into things and this would be the perfect way to keep it together and out of sight.
I love all your little bags. The bicycle fabric is so cute. Love reading about your daughter being born. Those little bags would be perfect for me because I do not carry a lot with me when I go out.
Yes, keys, cell phone ( it is a relic) cash of course, pen $ paper, a measuring tape, never know when you might need one and lip balm. In the little bag I would carry some little hand project.
thanks so much for a chance to win your giveaway.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!AUDREY!
You've made a beautiful bag to honor your beautiful daughter! Great job!
Lots of blondies in my immediate family.. Me, both of my girls, my granddaughter Allie and my grandson Parker. :)
What a wonderful Tammy! I would put my hand sewing supplies in her!
Sew sweet! Lovely choice of fabrics and I love all the perfect accessories ... :) Pat
Your fabric is absolutely darling and you did a great job on the projects. It is such a nice size bag too. I can see myself using it for some sewing on the go items.
Happy birthday to your daughter. How dreadful that they had you two isolated from each other at birth and yet brought the other mom's baby out!! You should have been isolated in your own room. She was a full grown baby when she was born. I am sure that the newborn clothes didn't even fit her ;-)
Thearica what a beautiful Tammy bag and I hate that I didn't think of all those accessories. :) The set is so special but not nearly as special as your daughter and her daughters....our children and grandchildren bring smiles to our faces and love to our hearts. blessings, marlene
Love your version of the Tammy! And all the accessories are great. My daughter was only 7 pounds but my son was 9.6 so I understand having a big baby! Of course, he's on the small size now for his age which strikes me as funny knowing how he came into the world!!
Thearica, Love that Tammy bag! If I had one I would be totally proud of it! I am afraid I could not make it and that is why I never join the purse hops.
Wonderful bag, love the bicycles and the birth story is wonderful, I feel your pain about not seeing your little baby, my son was taken to a hospital 3 hours from where we live after my emergency C-Section and they didn't let me out of the hospital to go visit him for the first 10 days, it was horrible, my husband kept driving back and forth between the 2 of us in the hospitals.
I think you have a lot of "creativeness upstairs" and this little bag set is proof of that...I love each piece! Happy Birthday to your daughter--thanks for sharing your sweet story. :O)
Love it, that fabric is just so cute and the way you put the set together! I would love to have it and I will definitely use it for my embroidery on the go!
Wow! That bicycle fabric brought back loads of memories of my younger days. Happy birthday to your daughter and many many happy ones to come. babscorbitt@gmail.com
What a beautiful job on your bag, and a lovely story about your daughter. I have another hexie project I could put in your bag. You did such a lovely job.
I can't believe you are giving away such a cute bag and accessories. Love the "Ride" fabric.
Happy 34th Audrey! What a superb set you've made here Thearica (Madame had better watch out!)
I think I would use this set for $ (of course), candies (naturally) and all those things we Moms need for the bumps and bruises or kiddos accrue.
Thank you for the chance :)
I love that bicycle fabric! I would put almost the same things in mine that you have. Just add my ipod to the outside pocket and a few stitching items to it and off I would go. OH, and since I am TAMMY, I think you made it for me! lol
HI! SUCH A NEAT PROJECT! I THINK I'D USE IT FOR SEWING TOOLS!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
Happy Birthday to your daughter. I think your bag is so cute and so are the accessories you added. I would use it as a grandma bag. As a new grandma, I have been thinking of what I need to carry when the grandbaby is around. It has been a few years since I had to carry so many extras.
Thearica you bag(s) are beautiful! I love those bicycles too and the colors. Congrats too for being the most creative pick today too. Well what I put into that bag? Just about anything. I have one bag for sewing and one for knitting, so I would need one just for embroidery and that's what I would use that bag for my embroidery projects.
Happy birthday to your beautiful daughter too!
What a great set you have made. I love it. Happy birthday to your girl. Mine was born the 13th in'79. She has given me an almost 12 year old(july 2nd) and I love them both. I would take My set to town, also. I can't believe you are giving your cute set away, but I would sure take it in a heart beat. (Yep, made too many typo's in my original comment.)
Oh, I love your bag or I should say bags! That is the cutest fabric ever. I think that would be the perfect bag to take on a plane. It would hold everything you could possibly need.
Happy Birthday to your beautiful daughter, loved your sweet story.
Very cute bag! I think I would carry my embroidery in it. Thanks for the chance.
I just love your little bags and if I was to be so lucky to win them I would use it for my sewing items and I would be the talk of my little quilt guild. Thanks for the chance to win and by the way you have a beautiful family there also!!
Your bag(S) are beautiful. Happy Birthday to your daughter. I'm assuming you're talking of Raleigh NC. I live in Clayton. It's so nice to see someone close on line. I love your blog. Thanks for a chance to win.
Happy birthday to Audrey! Oh what a horrible story for the birth of your little girl!
I love the fabrics you chose for the collection! I would use it for all my assorted goodies that always fall to the bottom of my purse. Bandaids, medicines in little pkgs, loose change small pkg. of kleenix, etc. What a beautiful way to organize them!
hulseybg at gmail dot come
What a beautiful set of bags. Love the bicycles, how so very cute! If I were to win, I would put all those loose things that are floating around in my purse, that when I need them - are never to be found! Thank you for sharing and for giving us a chance to win.
dkl44@hotmail.com
i would love to have it and would put all my 'stuff' in it. thanks
How charming! I love that you made all the little accessories to go with it! I think I would use it just as you are...a "going to the store with just what I need" bag!
So cute; love the idea of the matching pieces. I think the only thing I would have to add is a pen and my glasses (I tend to carry them rather than wear them!). Thanks for sharing
Those are just tooooo dang cute! Love all of them - great job! Of course I will give you onc guess as to what I would use them for - my CQ supplies! Only 2 more days and you can show me how to make them! Happy Birthday to your daughter - she and her children are adorable!
What a cute, cute bag! I love the bicycle fabric and also the flower fabric inside. By the way, I love my coin purse so very much! If I would happen to win this bag, I would use it for hand sewing supplies. It would be great to have such a cute bag to take my supplies along with me. However, since I was a winner not too long ago, I wouldn't mind if you didn't give it to me if I won. Thanks for sharing!
love the bikes! Perfect for running around to the cleaner, grocery store, library and Starbucks! Just the right size for my wallet, sunglasses and keys. Thanks for one cute giveaway!
Happy Birthday Audrey!! Love the cute bag.. and Im sure I'd stuff it full of everything but the kitchen sink.. OR I might just make it a knitting project bag :)
lipgloss...I have lots;-) Thank you so much! The bag is adorable!

Great job on the Tammy bag and on all the accoutrements! Impressive! As one who does all types of needlecraft, I would likely use my Tammy bag as a project bag. I love the idea of toting around hexies-in-work in it.

I won't say a lot: just WONDERFUL. I love this bicycle fabric, used it in a tote bag and it worked out super. Very creative ideas, thanks!
Fantastic purse. Since I have never been one to do or use the 'normal' this bicycle fabric is perfect for the bag. I would use it as my everyday bag because it looks like just the right size to hold the basics. Love the coin purse too!
thelady at hotmail.com
Great bag! I love the bicycle fabric!! This would be great for my hexies!
Happy birthday to Audrey - a wonderful picture of her with her beautiful girls!
I like your fabric on your bag, so pretty. I would use it for a catch-all so the little stuff wouldn't fall to the bottom of my purse. Thank you for sharing with us today.
Wonderful ensemble! Love the bicycle fabric. It would be perfect when traveling, small sewing projects, mini first aid kit and candy for'energy. Thanks for sharing and the chance to win
What a great combo. The fabric is neat too. Perfect job!

I Love the fabric !!!
Since I probably won't win the adorable set ( to many commenters ;-) ...can you tell me by whom is the bicycle fabric ??
Gotta get some :-)
This set is absolutely adorable!I would use the Tammy bag for sew-ins and car projects! (BTW, I too have a daughter who turns 34 this year. She wasn't that big though, so I avoided the C-section. Her sister came pretty close to being that big, though.)
Love your set, it is so so pretty! I think I would put my makeup/lipstick in it and just more of my purse stuff.
Happy Birthday to Audrey and congratulations to you because you are blessed with such a wonderful family.
Your set of bags ist so beautiful, it is a great idea to use it for the most important thing you just have to take with you when you leave the house. Thank you very much for the chance to win, i'm wishing me luck *smile*
Liebe Grüsse

What cute fabric and that it can hold all the things is amazing. It must be bigger then it looks, and you did a wonderful job accessorizing it.Happy Birthday to your daughter isn't it wonderful to see them all grown up and having babies of their own.
What pretty fabric. I need a good make up bag, so that is what I would use the larger bag for. Thanks for sharing your daughter's birthday with us. She and her two girls are lovely. I know you enjoy them all. Thanks for the chance to win.

I love the bicycle fabric you used!! Oh the things I could fill the bags with!!! I like the idea of the candy in there for starters.
Congratulations on being the creative pick of the day! Your daughter is very lucky to have you as a mother. Your project is just beautiful!

So very cute! Thank you for sharing with us, and Happy Birthday to your lovely daughter!
Your bag with accessories is so pretty in those fabrics! I thought you were going to say that it was a present for Audrey but instead it is a wonderful giveaway! Happy Birthday to Audrey!
Your fabric choice makes this bag just perfect. I would have a notebook in it with my lists. I am so forgetful that I keep a list of where I am going, what I am doing even what I want to accomplish during the day.
My keys and my notebook. Thanks for sharing. This is very pretty.
Beautiful. I love the frame on your Tammy. And a lovely useful trio too. Perfect for taking my iPod, earbuds, phone, ID and sunglasses on our vacation this summer. And change for goodies while traveling too!
Oh, goodness. I'd tuck in my "granny glasses" because I can't read anything without them, and my cell phone, and little index cards--which I use for taking all kinds of notes and making lists--along with a pen. My "essentials" list is always long. :)
I think it would be perfect for putting in cell phone, credit card, keys, and cash, just before i head into fabric store!
Beautiful... You will be the belle of the ball with all your matching accessories too!
Perfect for a quick trip to the store or to put my hexies in! Either way would be a great way to show off your beautiful work! Thanks
Love the bicycle fabric. The set is so pretty. The bag is so pretty I might have to let it sit and admire it so it doesn't get ruined ;-D
I love how your bag turned out! Sew darned cute! I just purchased this pattern and plan to make one for me and one each for my 3 daughters. May I ask where you found your purse frame? I just love the big ball knobs! Easier to open and adds such a whimsical touch. I've searched and can't seem to find them. Thank you!
Cathy ♥
These would be great for taking sewing supplies on trips - like hexies, etc!

Oh, I love the bicycle fabric. Riding bicycles is one of my favorite things to do. I love the ruffle, too. A Tammy bag would be great for lots of things but I'd probably use it for hand work.
Your Tammy Bag is adorable and your presentation is perfect. I would use the Tammy Bag for grocery shopping too. I would not have thought of that except for your great idea. I am never organized on shopping day! Happy Birthday to your daughter. My son was born in 1978, a Cesarean as well and he was a hair over nine pounds. The nurses called him the teenager, lol.
