I promised to show you the results from the 1st Annual Dare To Be Ugly Challenge this morning and here they are!
To recall the fabric in question...
If you missed what Penny had to say about this ... ahmmm... not so gorgeous fabric visit this link... Be prepared to laugh out loud!
These ladies were given 1/2 yard of this and could make anything they chose to for the challenge... So, let's just see what they all came up with!
We shall start with Penny... Even though she thought it was hideous, she made a really nice quilt with it and her other fabrics...
The back...
Colleen loved the fabric so much... mmm.. not... that she dyed it to get rid of that ghastly sight.. lol
She made a gorgeous sewing kit!
Marie made her cat a bed!
Amanda made this beautiful quilt!
I made this silly quilt for my granddaughter
Rondi made this fabulous quilt!
Patty made this ironing board cover
This challenge was back in 2009 so some of the names are escaping my
memory so please forgive that I can't put names with every creation.

I think it would depend on when the challenge happens. Thru the end of the year, I am in crunch time.
I think it would be fun, but definitely a project for the beginning of the new year. Gives us time to wrap up Christmas and have a 'clean' slate to work with. :)
What talented people!!! It sounds like a really fun challenge.
I had to also laugh at "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder" as it certainly fits the fabric.
Thanks for sharing. This might be fun, but like the others said - after Christmas for sure for me.
These are pretty! I love the cat dolls.
Hi!!!! Penny did a great job!!!! Well all of them turned out cute!!!! I am amazed at what talent it took to turn this fabric into such works of art!!!! Thank You
