Wanna See Something Pretty?

I am participating in 2 Crazy Quilting Round Robins and these are the blocks that have been worked on for me.

My friend Karen embroidered the pigs for me so I used them as the centerpieces for my blocks.  I asked the ladies to incorporate the water garden with flowers designs to my blocks.  These are the first 4 completed.

These first 2 are being worked on by members of Crazy Quilting International.  If you have a love for crazy quilting and do not belong to an online group, this is one of the best groups out there!  Come see us! (you do have to register...but it is free)

Nicki stitched this beauty up for me!  I had asked for some birdbaths and the one she stitched is gorgeous!

Lauri took the water theme a bit further and incorporated a water hose to give the piggie a bath with!  I absolutely LOVE this!!
The next 2 blocks are being worked on by ladies of the HGTV Quilting and Needlework Forum.  There again, if you are a quilter and need a place to hang out with people of like-minds, this is the place for you!  All kinds of quilting over here plus cross stitch, knitting, crochet and lots more!  You don't have to register to read things but you do have to in order to view photos and comment.... but it is free!

Colleen has done a super job in giving this piggie a bunch of flowers to nibble on. The sunflower was already on his hiney and I love the sunflowers she created to go with it!

Jackie also gave her piggie some flowers to enjoy!

I cannot wait to see the remaining blocks!
They will all go in to one wallhanging when they get home! :)

Thank you ladies!!!

Wanna See Something Pretty!

I am a member of a blog with a group of friends that we call The 12 Of Us.  It is a private blog because some of the friends did not feel safe if we didn't make it that way.  So, although we cannot share with everyone right on the blog, we can share on our own personal blogs as we have things to share.  We are making something for each other over the course of several months.

Dee had my name to make me a sewing hussif.  I received it in today's mail and I am so happy with what came out of the box!  She knows how I love pigs and how I love to crazy quilt so the hussif was made with those in mind!  Her work is exquisite and she designed this herself!  If I could zoom in close enough to show you those teensy tiny binding stitches I would!

It came all decked out with plenty of tools to work with!

I would love to sell these in my online shop! Reckon we could talk her in to making a few to list??

A Little More CQ'ing

Since it has been one more hot summer, we are swapping snowballs over at
an online crazy quilting Yahoo group!

As in a lot of things, I am behind on getting mine out but this week I am taking some time in between finishing the 2 quilts I started prior to my trip to Alabama, to get a few things caught up that I owe others.  It feels good to be getting things out the door, whether they be large or small.  I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. :)

We set our themes for our own snowballs and chose between CD size or hexies and I chose hexies.  My theme of course was none other than PIGS!! in the Garden!

Cathy Labath sent me this gorgeous Snowball first! I fell in love with it at first sight!

Cathy's theme was flowers, butterflies ... anything in the garden. I chose to do her a butterfly garden with a few other critters to keep them company!
I do hope she likes what I have done.  She is a far more advanced  stitcher than I am but I am trying.

If you love to stitch and need a place to hang out where there is a lot of awesome inspiration, come on over to CQI!!  We would love to have you!

Crazy Quilt Pincushion Swap

I am a member of an online crazy quilting forum,

We swapped wool crazy quilt pincushions earlier this summer and this is the one I made for Carolyn!
The dyed lace is from Nicki Seavey's Etsy shop - RavioleeDreams!

And this is the one I received from Leslie!
I really love this and especially the pig! But more so all those tiny seam treatments! That is enough to inspire me to practice harder!
Thank you Leslie!
I have a few other backlogged commitments that I am working on so stay tuned for more photos.
