Show Your Stripes Blog Hop! - It's My Day!

Hello, thank you for visiting my blog today to peek at my contributions to the
Show Your Stripes Blog Hop!
Carla over at Creatin' In The Sticks has put a lot of work in to getting us all prepared for the hop
and this is a big thank you shout out to her!

I love to make charity and comfort quilts and am currently out of baby quilts.  I generally have a stack in the backseat of my truck in the winter.  If I see a mom with an infant and it is only wrapped up in a receiving blanket I can gift her a quilt right on the spot.  So I have prepared some tops that I still need to quilt but it wont take me long to get them completed and in the truck.

My stylized rose will wrap some little girl up nice warm and cozy don't you think.  The striped inner border just adds to the look.

I received these fabrics in a kit from a blogger several years ago and now have them in top form just waiting to be quilted.  It is just a dab bigger so it can go to a 1 - 2 year old little boy. You will find some stripe fabric in the quilt and the jelly roll strips make stripes of their own. Some little boy will love this!

This is one of my favorites.  I didnt use a jelly roll but cut my strips of fabric for this one.  Lots of polka dots and sewn together in stripe form. :)  Very bright and cheery.  It could be for either a girl or boy.  It needs an outer border but I dont have anything in the house to match.. I just might add a multi color stripe border on it or maybe bind it in stripes. Decisions decisions. :)

And I love giveaways so leave me a comment about your quilting endeavors.
Someone will win this Tree of Life panel.  I will use the random number generator on Saturday, Feb 27 at 9am Central time  to choose the comment number and whoever made that numbered comment will win!
I do have these for sale so if you are interested in one, just give me a shout!

Well that's it for me.  I hope you have enjoyed being here!  Be sure and visit the other bloggers that are showing their stripes today!

I like to donate quilts. Last year I gave away 50 so I hope I can do the same this year. I love your stripes. Aren't stripes fun? The brighter the better.

The Rose quilt will be really charming for a baby! And I love the polka-dot quilt too. Please leave me out of the giveaway.

Oh my I just love the combination of stripes and polka dots! My quilting endeavors began when I lost my job due to covid. My whole story is on my blog. But to keep it short and sweet I hope to be able to continue to be creative everyday by creating quilts, designing quilt blocks and one day a full quilt pattern. I am just now starting to find my designer flare and I hope there are others who enjoy what I love too.

I love the one with the polka dots and the circles. I have a similar version cut out and put together in a kit, but have not sewn it yet. Someday...

I really like that polka dot and circle quilt. Did you buy a pattern for that or did you draw it up yourself? Seems I'm making more and more baby quilts the last few years and I'm always looking for ideas.

The quilts are great for babies. All the color and movement in the stripes should grab their attention. I also liked your idea of having the small quilts always nearby and ready to give to moms. Thanks for sharing.

All of the baby quilts are beautiful. I also love to make quilts for charity. I especially love the polka dots and circles top. My blog has a contact form link, just under the header.

I don’t wish to be in the drawing, but I do want to comment on your quilt tops in progress. That stylized rose is a really cute design. And the border next to it is very cool. I love that. The thin stripes pieces is a nice framing. That will be one lucky little girl. The next top with stripes and hearts is also a fun design. Quite unique, to me. The dotted stripe quilt top is wonderfully fun! The dots give it a whimsical characteristic. Kudos to your generosity to make charity quilts. But to have them handy and ready at a moments notice is really awesome and inspiring!

There is nothing more heart warming than angles like you walking the earth with a truck full of quilts for those in need. Your is as beautiful as your stylized rose! I love that little boy quilt reminds me of train tracks for some reason. :-)

You are so thoughtful to have extra baby quilts in the car for a new Mom. These would be perfect!

It's so fun to see you hopping with us! I love your stripes in each of your quilts and I'm sure they will be treasured by whoever receives them. The polka dot stripes made such a sweet quilt. Thanks for sharing!

How wonderful you have quilts ready to give at a moment's notice. That is amazing. And I know the recipients would be thrilled to receive any of these beautiful quilts.
This year my goal is to finish several of my UFOs. Thanks for the chance to win such a nice panel. I always love tree of life designs.

I always enjoy seeing all the beautiful creations people make. I especially like your last one. I need an idea for placemats that our guild is making for our charity sewing project this year. I think the black dots could start going back up to make it longer.

I'm working on two breast cancer quilts, one is a t shirt quilt and the other one is all embroidery to donate.

I love your idea of keeping quilts in the car for when you see someone that needs it. Awesome! Your baby quilt tops are all so fun. The polka dot stripes quilt is my favorite, but all are great! It's so cool to have you join us in the Show Your Stripes Blog Hop. Hope you will keep hopping with us!

Thank you for showing us the quilts you made. Your use of stripes is clever. I like the jelly roll striped quilt, so cute.

Love all those little quilts! The dot and stripe is my favorite too, but I think it's all the colors in it that does it for me. It's wonderful that you carry around quilts to hand out--how thoughtful and caring. We need more of that. Thanks for sharing!

I love all of your striped pieces but I adore your polka dot striped piece. What a lovely idea you have in giving quilty hugs to the little ones in need in your area. So good of you.

What a sweet idea to have quilts ready to give away whenever... All three of the quilts are decidedly made with delightful stripes but I, too, love the last one the most. What a great pattern with the stripes and the circles. Excellent!

What a pretty lot of baby quilts; something for everyone with sweet stripes in every one. Your charity quilting is inspiring. I seem to be a go to person when a quilt is needed for a fundraiser in our valley. I just finished a quilt that was to be for our bed, but a sweet young couple with 2 littles just lost their home and everything in it to a fire on Wednesday. They lost everything. My quilt is going to them and a couple of the “on hand” baby/toddler quilts as well. Like you, I try to keep a supply of baby quilts on hand for those emergencies.
I think I might need to try your circle/stripe quilt next. It looks like fun. 😉 Carol
