Hello everyone. It has been quite a while since my last blog post. We all need a hiatus once in a while and for some of us, those are longer than normal. I dare to say that I am back but I truly do plan to post often. They say you never stop remembering how to ride a bike, just get back on and take off. Kind of how I feel about blogging. I was on a roll for a long time thanks to all of the blog hops I participated in and then I started to pitter out once those were gone coupled with the death of my sister and I stopped blogging. I want to regain that momentum once again so you will all want to come and visit to see what I am getting done in the quilting and stitching world.
And no better way to jump back in but to have a giveaway! I will send one lucky commenter a surprise package of lace, beads and charms and other goodies to use in their crafts! Just be sure you arent set to anonymous when you are commenting.
I will start off by showing you the finishes I was lucky enough to finish in 2025. As you can see, it is mostly all smalls... pincushions allow you to enjoy getting back in to sewing as a quick pick me up. I also did a couple of tshirt quilts for clients. I did the 2 pink quilts and the red quilt as a joint effort with other quilters who sent blocks. The 2 pink quilts were sent to a wonderful sweet lady as Quilts of Joy who was part of the quilting circle who celebrated her 100th birthday. There were so many blocks sent that I was able to create a lap quilt for her recliner and also a bed quilt. She sadly passed away a week after she received the quilts and we were saddened immensely but we were so glad she received the quilts and was able to wrap them around herself beforehand. The red quilt was made as a Comfort Quilt for her daughter later. The comfort quilts is a ministry we started several years ago and I am so glad that it continues.
